CEREBUS NEWS
Interview with Image founder and Spawn creator Todd McFarlane, on goal of ending the series with #301: "Because for me I’m heading up to 301, it’s not 300, it’s 301 because Cerebus had 300 issues and it’s the longest-running independent."

Turns out the writer of the comic is a Cerebus fan. He says: "She brings up a lot of points which even I haven’t realized. The Cerebus one in particular is interesting, because I can’t cop to being conscious of it, but my favorite aspect about that book in particular is how it unfolds so beautifully odd. One could argue it doesn’t really get going until issue 25 and even then a lot of aspects introduced in those initial issues — like Bran Mac Muffin and the Cerebus statue, etc. — don’t come back in until way later. Unconscious, maybe, but I also can’t deny it. There are a lot of seemingly minor things in issue #1 which won’t be back until whenever we wrap this up."
