What this and that!?

Prison modeling progress by John Chen
City modeling and texturing by Vijay R.. Additional models and props by Luis Segarra
Lighting for day time by Ritesh Gupta

animation by Dane Parsons (Dane342@gmail.com). And I played with the editing and rendering of some of his camera placement. I messed up on the fps, so the lip synch went out (apologies to the voice artist John Munt:)) -but hey not a total loss: made a little CTV bumper out of it:)

Catch Cerebus TV tonight 10PM Eastern and all weekend long :

It was 20 years ago today (or close to!) That Michael Dalton "Doc" Allred brought MADMAN to market for the first time. Dave Sim reminisces about that first Tunda mini-series that seemed to merge Bob Burden's FLAMING CARROT with the "pop cutter" Jamie Hernandez, Dave Stevens and …. Charles Burns?!

Also the FIRST EVER general auction of glamourpuss artwork -- six selected pieces from the first three years of glamoupuss, including THAT RUSS HEATH GIRL 1 from glamourpuss 16

Someday when there's an OVERSTREET PRICE GUIDE FOR COMICS TVPROGRAM, the November 19th episode of CEREBUS TV is sure to be cited for two 'first appearances':

First appearance of "What's the Hottest Item in Comic Stores This Month" with guest judge MADVARK. First appearance of the Follicly-Challenged Neil Gaiman of Earth-Two's Follicly-Challenged Grasshopper Cam! Comic book TV will never be the same!

DOUBLE BONUS: What is Mike and Laura Allred's most important work? An October interview with Mike and Laura about the proposed Rodriguez MADMAN film and I, ZOMBIE

What Brother! What Farmer Warrior!

Warrior Farmer modeled by Akanksha Poddar. We never see his face in the comic (issue #13): all we know is he is "bulky". And Akanksha got the "Farmer Warriors" groups dresscode down perfectly as well.

The twin Brothers from issue #1 now have a new rig by "Magic'n'MythStudio"! (magicnmythstudio@gmail.com). We never know their names, nor their personality in this rough first issue that started the series, but in the one panel below he does refer to him as "brother" and they look kinda alike.

What finetuning?

Modeling update by Vijay R., who till now has been doing texturing on Cerebus Film, but the one building was too poly-heavy (as transferred from one app to another), so he made his own -which in effect means we have another addition to our city environment. Additional models by Luis Segarra

What Attack?!

Animation progress by James Lane.

Above trying on for size Cerebus' new helmet texture -his medallions are underway, too!
I know his medallions and helmet were "crafted from a grey, hard metal", but there are drawings by Sim were they aren't grey
ok, that second one is a stretch:) Anyway, if nothing else we're following a tradition of where Cerebus appearing outside of his comic series, has a more yellow metal. Or a bronze-like color maybe?

What Animators!

Below we have coincidentally progress on 3 scenes, with some gapes aside, follow each other sequentially.

Lipsynch animation of the High Priest as Despuess goes to drop off Cerebus at Necross dwelling. Facial and body animation coming up. animation by Justin Rogers.

Early animation progress (some rough poses studies)by Marcelo Pirk of the High Priest cursing towards Necross' dwelling.

Animation by Jason Minos of Cerebus and Despuess as they are confronted by Necross.

And all this weekend Cerebus TV's episode 2 of Season 2!
Here's Dave Sim on this weeks episode:-
"He was only a barbarian for the first 20 or so issues of his 300-issue run but it's still the most popular version of the aardvark. Dave Sim traces the origins of 'Cerebus the Barbarian" including Rob...ert E. Howard, Barry Windsor-Smith's 'Red Nails' adaptation and others.

What in the world!

Brian Buchmann's modeling progress on the Wizard. (I placed him in his Palace rather sloppily just to see get a sense of how he'd fit in his environment:)) Side hair on his head will be added.

Vijay R. texturing of the broken down city below (Vijay R. also did the plush Palace texturing and lighting above). Model by Luis Segarra
