What Scale?

Here it is: the worshipping hall of the Pigts, complete with Statue so they may bow before their "God-King":) Leleu Ludovic has done a great job. And I hope he doesn't mind I made the statue a bit bigger here in this render. The statue in the comic isn't a consistent size, but it does state it's 15 feet high. For those who read our Cerebus Film Facebook page you'll have seen the earlier version, and where in the comments Ellis Goodson , who said he likes the environment a lot, confirmed my thoughts about maybe making it bigger. Actually not sure if it is big enough as shown here...I'm thinking so though. Maybe. This is the wonderful thing about keeping the process transparent and getting feedback from fans. Thank you very much.
Also, there is dialog that refers to how Cerebus' medallion, sword and helmet will turn the statue into gold and make it come to life so Cerebus may become "brute force triumphant"...I figure, standing up the statue will be even more dominating. As is the statue is sorta crouching...
Anyway, of course, Cerebus wants no part of any of this and ruins the statue before it ever comes to life -and Cerebus thereby fractures his destiny, which is the theme of the comic and film.
There also a new Cerebus Newsletter from "The Friends Of Cerebus" out now.
And Cerebus is featured in a Musuem Exhibition.

What Summer?

Summer is over! I believe summer lasts till the 22nd. And we're working on getting a polished trailer finished. We could have one up already with all the pieces we have, of course, but there are certain scenes we want in and we don't want to rush it as we really want it to stand out.
Above is the Pigt scene created by Leleu Ludovic. The rendering is still a little rough, apologies to Ludo. You'll note the Statue is missing. It's done, but just having a rendering issue. Had several rendering/transfer from zbrush to Maya issues on this one. Unlike the interior Necross Lair, this one has been one thing after another. But the model itself is fantastic and you'll note when you look at the drawn pages from the comic how faithful he's been to the source.
Below is also Kerem Gogus having started on the Palace from issue 1, following the concept painting by Turlo Griffin.
Also, we have a couple of riggers and animators who have joined us and I'll be dsiplaying their work soon.
This weekend: is Dave Sim's last signing, it's a whole weekend event so if you can make it it's sure to be an unforgettable time.

There's also talk of a new Cerebus comic by Dave Sim himself called "Cerebus: The Afterlife"

And of course don't forget our own webcomics at www.cerebus3d.com:)

What Cerebus Statue? A Last Signing?

Ludovic Leleu is making great progress on the Cerebus statue that the Pigts worship, and which Cerebus ends up smashing in disgust. He's even made it in pieces so it will be easier to smash.
Below are the torches that will be on the walls and, of course, have flames on them.

And also, we must make a special mention of a pivotal moment in Cerebus history: Dave Sim, Cerebus creator, has his last ever comicbook signing September 24th. So I suggest you all carpool up there and attend. For more details on all the goodies and the complete schedule go here.

and of course there are new webcomix on our site as it is Wednesday.

What Iraq?

Brian Lee Moore flew in just to do some voices for our Cerebus Film. He'd only been home for a couple of months from 2 tours in Iraq. It's a great honor, and we thank him for all he's done. And who better to do the voices of the soldiers in our film? He's a great talent and made each character pop, he also made a film himself that featured artwork supplied by Cerebus creator, Dave Sim.
Above I randomly chose some samples of what we recorded, will figure out which ones to use on further listening.
Recording done by our film's Sound Editor, Jimmy McGivern, at his recording studio:
Also, Ludovic Leleu is now working on the Pigt hall featuring the Aardvark/Cerebus statue as seen below.
